Introduction
For the purposes of this Anti-Fraud Policy, the “End User” refers to the person or entity who has entered into a contractual relationship with Tunearo.com ("Tunearo") by agreeing to our Terms of Use and submitting content for distribution to Digital Streaming Platforms (DSPs).
This policy outlines our commitment to preventing, identifying, and responding to fraudulent or abusive use of our services. It defines prohibited actions, outlines how we investigate suspicious activity, and details potential consequences for violations.
Definitions
- End User: Any individual or entity that uses Tunearo's services and has agreed to the Terms of Use.
- DSP: Digital Streaming Platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc.
- MDFS: Monetization through Digital Fingerprinting Systems (e.g., YouTube Content ID).
- Fraud: Any illegal or deceptive activity that violates DSP terms, copyright laws, or Tunearo’s terms.
- Strike: A penalty mark applied to an account for violating our Anti-Fraud Policy.
- Royalties: Revenue generated from the legitimate use of distributed content.
Policy
Tunearo does not tolerate fraudulent activity. We are committed to preventing abuse, protecting artists, and maintaining integrity within the music ecosystem.
Actions by DSPs
DSPs may takedown content, withhold royalties, and notify Tunearo of violations using their fraud detection systems.
Our Actions
Tunearo monitors fraud through data analysis, fingerprinting, and quality control. We act on any irregularities.

Severity, Strike Policy and Account Blocking
Severity Levels
- F0: Identity fraud, fake documents, suspicious IPs
- F1: Click fraud, bots, metadata manipulation
- F2: Copyright/IP violations
- F3: MDFS abuse
Strike Policy

Account Blocking Policy
Accounts may be blocked after multiple strikes or verified fraud. Royalties may be held in escrow for up to 5 years.
Withholding Royalties (“Escrow”)
Royalties earned through suspected fraud will be withheld for up to 24 months or 5 years, depending on dispute resolution and DSP requirements.
Takedowns
Content will be removed when fraud is reported or verified, or if accounts are suspended due to policy violations.
